Gaining Control Over Your Mind

Introduction

Life is on a forever changing state, there is an immense amounts of variables which we have no control over but the one variable you can control is you. I have always been at war with myself, always on a me vs me state of mind. My physical vs my spiritual, My brain vs My heart, my disciplines vs my vices. The mind is a complex and powerful tool that can sometimes feel like it has a life of its own. We all have experienced negative thoughts and emotions that can be overwhelming and can make us feel out of control. However, with the right mindset and techniques, it is possible to gain control over your mind and achieve a greater sense of peace and clarity in your life. We’ll explore some of the most effective ways to gain control over your mind.

Mindfulness

One of the most effective ways to gain control over your mind is through mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment and fully engaged in your experiences. By focusing your attention on the present moment, you can let go of negative thoughts and emotions that may be holding you back. Mindfulness can take many forms, such as meditation, yoga, or simply taking a walk in nature. Whatever form it takes, the key is to stay focused on the present moment and let go of distractions.

Mindfulness can help you to become more aware of your thoughts and feelings, and it can help you to develop a greater sense of self-awareness. By being more aware of your thoughts and feelings, you can start to recognize patterns of negative thinking that may be contributing to your stress and anxiety. Once you recognize these patterns, you can start to work on changing them.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Another powerful tool for gaining control over your mind is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT is a type of therapy that helps you identify and change negative thought patterns that may be contributing to your stress and anxiety. By challenging negative thoughts and replacing them with more positive and realistic ones, you can gain a greater sense of control over your mind and your emotions. CBT can be done with a therapist or through self-help resources such as books and online courses.

CBT can help you to identify the root causes of your negative thoughts and emotions, and it can give you practical tools and strategies for changing them. By working with a therapist or using self-help resources, you can learn how to identify and challenge negative thoughts, and you can learn how to replace them with more positive and realistic ones. This is when I use everything at my disposal to find the root source of my thoughts and make the necessary changes to optimize your thinking. This will require to keep track of your thoughts by either Journaling, Vlogging or Blogging - however you can make it work. I have made some progress and believe that I don’t need to see a therapist but I decided to add that in there since some individual might have gone through trauma they are not able to control.

Gratitude

Practicing gratitude can be a powerful way to gain control over your mind and cultivate a more positive outlook on life. By focusing on the things you are grateful for, you can shift your mindset away from negativity and towards positivity. This can help you feel more in control of your emotions and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. To practice gratitude, try writing down three things you are grateful for each day or simply taking a few minutes each day to reflect on the good things in your life.

Practicing gratitude can help you to shift your focus away from what you don't have, and towards what you do have. This can help you to feel more content and satisfied with your life, and it can help you to develop a more positive outlook on the future. There is lots of people rooting for you, find them and thank them for just simply being there and supporting you. I believe that is an essential of maintaining relationships.

Exercise

Exercise is another effective way to gain control over your mind and become a better man. Regular exercise has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and increase self-confidence. Exercise can also help you to develop discipline and self-control, which are important qualities for any man. Whether you prefer running, weightlifting, or playing sports, incorporating regular exercise into your routine can help you to gain control over your mind and become a better man.

You may also achieve this by participating in a sport of any way. Having that sport culture around you can help you develop some amazing quality that if used in the right way you can become quite the man. Sport Culture will also allow you to compete, which is also an essential method of bring out the best out of you. Competition brings out the best out of all parties involved - The desire to win will make you a more capable man.

Positive affirmations

Positive affirmations are statements that you repeat to yourself to help you maintain a positive mindset. By repeating positive affirmations, you can train your mind to focus on the positive aspects of your life. This can help you overcome negative thoughts and emotions that may be holding you back. Some examples of positive affirmations are "I am capable of achieving my goals" or "I am worthy of love and respect."

Self-reflection

Self-reflection is another way to gain control over your mind. It involves taking time to reflect on your thoughts, actions, and emotions. Self-reflection can help you identify negative patterns that may be holding you back and prevent you from achieving your goals. By reflecting on your experiences, you can gain a better understanding of yourself and your desires. This can help you make better decisions and take control of your life. I vocalize my thoughts, not only do I want to think of my goals or my next move but I want to vocalize that to myself. I want to Think it, Feel it, Speak it, then achieve it. Help yourself articulate what are all the options across the board.

Conclusion

Gaining control over your mind is not always easy, but it is possible with the right mindset and techniques. By practicing mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, gratitude, exercising, reciting your positive affirmations and self reflecting you can achieve a greater sense of peace and clarity in your life. Remember, the mind is a powerful tool, and with the right approach, you can harness its power to create a happier and more fulfilling life. So, start practicing these techniques and take control of your mind TODAY.

Through the King’s Eyes

Many times as human beings we fall victim to the negative forces dictating what we think, see, hear, smell and touch. We are deeply rooted to our senses and often times we tent to absorb the negative force. This can be a detrimental way of observing what really is happening but overall this is poor choice of absorption(filtering) if you ask me. We can take control over our minds in order to absorb the positive forces, in other words we can filter out the bad and only see the good.

Now lets elaborate further on what I just said. We never stop learning, we are in control of how we react or respond to any circumstance. We can learn great things from a bad circumstance, the same could happen on the reverse - We can learn terrible things from a good circumstance. We decide on how to take that in and channel it through our sense. Further down in this process a mix of morals and norms also categorize what you just learned. That why my next article will be very important. We will discuss the importance of having the right systems in place in order to gain control of you life.
